Changing Beneficiaries

Can I change the Beneficiaries on my MOSERS, State ICMA and Life Insurance accounts?
You may update your life insurance beneficiaries at any time. Simply log in to the secure site using your Member ID or social security number and your password and complete a "Designation/Change of Beneficiaries for Life Insurance" form. You may also designate a beneficiary to receive your final payment at any time by completing the "Final Payment of Retirement/Survivor Benefits - Change Beneficiar(ies)" form.

While MOSERS has assumed oversight of the State of Missouri Deferred Compensation Plan, it is administered through ICMA-RC. You can reach a representative by phone at 800-392-0925 or online at www.modeferredcomp.org.

Changing Your Mind After Submitting Retirement Paperwork

If I complete and submit the paperwork to retire....is it possible to change my mind and choose not to retire? If so...what are my time limits and how would I submit the request?
The retirement process involves completing several forms and making elections. To help you make informed decisions, the retirement process is divided into two steps, the “application step” and the “election step.” You may apply to retire online, and the date of retirement will always be the first day of the month.
If you submit a Retirement Application and then decide not to retire, please send MOSERS a written notice to rescind your application. Your application will become null and void if you do not complete the two-step process within 90 days of your stated date of retirement.
